Real Life Mario Kart by West Coast Customs
If you thought that the K’NEX Mario Kart sets were as real life as Mario Kart could possibly get, think again. For the promotion of the upcoming Mario Kart 7 title on the 3DS, Nintendo has teamed up with West Coast Customs, well-known for the MTV series Pimp My Ride, to create real-life, working Mario Karts. And they came out beautiful, being showcased friday at LA Auto Show where they will be on display until November 27th, 2011.
The two karts that were produced by West Coast Customs are modeled after two karts from the upcoming Mario Kart 7 game, that will be released on Nintendo 3DS in the beginning of December. One is the classic Mario Standard Kart and the other is the Luigi Bumble V kart which resembles a bumblebee and has a rear propeller for underwater navigation. In the Mario Kart 7 game that is.
What’s great is that one lucky person can win the Mario Standard Kart when the LA Auto Show is over. This person will have to be a member of GameStop PowerUp Rewards where the kart will be given away as part of the monthly Epic Reward Giveaway program. As a member the only thing you’ll have to do to be eligible for participation is to buy or trade something in the month December. The lucky winner will be announced in February.
